Ewing, NJ (4/22/11) – The Montclair State women's lacrosse team fell for just the second time in its last 12 games as the Red Hawks lost at top-ranked The College of New Jersey, 18-5 on Friday evening.

KAYLA HENDERSON (Landing, NJ / Roxbury) scored two goals while sophomore
KAILEE BEAL (Landing, NJ / Roxbury) and juniors
CORA DELFINI (New Egypt, NJ / New Egypt) and
MAGGIE FALLON (Cherry Hill, NJ / Camden Catholic) each had one as MSU fell to 10-4 on the year, 2-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
TCNJ would score the first thefirst four goals of the game before Henderson put the Red Hawks on the boar with an unassisted tally with 20:53 to go in the firs half. The Lions then ran off six consecutive goals before Montclair got two back as Henderson and Delfini scored 63 seconds apart making the score 10-3. However New Jersey got scores from Kathleen Notos and Alison Jaeger inside the final two minutes for a 12-3 lead at the break.

TIFFANI HENDERSON (Landing, NJ / Roxbury) made nine saves for the Red Hawks. Delfini had three draws as did freshman
KELLY SCHONEVELD (Denville, NJ / Morris Knolls).
The Red Hawks are now off until Thursday, April 28 when they host either Kean or Mt. St. Vincent in the semifinals of the Skyline Conference Tournament.
