 Montclair, NJ  - The Montclair State volleyball team split a tri-match on Saturday as the Red Hawks rallied past Wilkes University in five sets before falling to host Penn State - Berks, 3-0. The split left MSU at 7-11 on the season.
 In the win over Wilkes, Montclair won the first set 25-22 before the Colonels came back to take a 2-1 lead with a 25-22 victory in the second set and 26-24 triumph in the third. Montclair stormed back with a 25-11 win in the fourth and took the decisive fifth set 15-8.
 Freshman Daniella Salemo (Ramsey, NJ, Ramsey) led the wa with 19 kills and 12 digs while Sara Girgus (Green Brook, NJ, Watchung Hills) collected 12 kills and a team-best 22 digs. Freshman setter Angela Campo (Washington Township, NJ, Westwood) had 35 assists and 17 digs while junior Alyssa Batiste (Manahawkin, NJ, Southern Regional) recorded seven kills, sever aces and five digs. Libero Kaitlyn Irwin (Cranford, NJ, Cranford) contributed 18 digs.
 
 Salemo and Batiste had four kills apiece as Montclair fell to Berks, 25-18, 25-15 and 25-15.
 
 The Red Hawks are now off until Thursday, September 29 when they host Ramapo College at the Panzer Athletic Center on their "Dig for the Cure" contest.
