Glassboro, NJ - Top-ranked Montclair State suffered its first loss of the season as the Red Hawks fell at Rowan 3-2 on Saturday afternoon.
Forward Jenna Pressler (fr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) scored the winning goal at 57:48 on a breakaway. She blasted a shot from the right side of the circle that went into the left side of the cage. Pressler ended the game with two goals.    Â
It was the Red Hawks' first loss on the season as MSU saw its 25-game regular-season winning streak snapped as well. Montclair State is 10-1 overall and 2-1 in the conference. Rowan has a 5-5 record with a 1-1 NJAC mark.
Rowan started the game with two straight goals. Forward Kellie Campbell (jr. Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) had the first one at 2:50, when she tapped in a loose ball. Pressler knocked in a rebound at 6:19 for the second goal.Â

Jennifer Tafro (Little Falls, NJ, Passaic Valley) cut the deficit to one at 23:35. She dribbled the ball into the circle after the penalty corner then scored with a shot to the left side. In the second half, midfielder

Montclair State will look to rebound from the loss on Tuesday, October 8 when it travels to Madison to meet FDU-Florham at 7:00 pm.
