Montclair, NJ – Freshman forward Leandro Lemache (Carteret, NJ / St. Benedict's Prep) tied the score at 2-2 with 3:54 remaining in regulation as No 4/17 Montclair State and William Paterson played to a double-overtime draw at MSU Soccer Park on Wednesday evening.

Juniors Maxx Wurzburger (Glen Rock, NJ, Glen Rock) and Joe Borrajo (Clifton, NJ, Clifton)each had a goal for MSU, which went to 7-1-1 overall, 1-0-1 with the tie. Jose Arevalo (Haldeon, NJ / St. Benedict's Prep) had a goal for William Paterson (5-2-2, 0-1-1 NJAC).

Arevalo gave the Pioneers a 1-0 lead 17:30 into the contest with his fifth tally of the season knocking in a rebound after teammate Matt Nigro (Morganville, NJ / Marlboro) was stopped by Red Hawks keeper Kevin Lynch (Cinnaminson, NJ, Cinnaminson).

William Paterson would hold on to that one-goal lead through the break until the 59th minute when Wurzburger tied the match with his second goal of the season flicking in a cross from Lucas Terci (Union, NJ, Union).

MSU grabbed the lead with 10:53 remaining as Mike Olla (Bloomfield, NJ, St. Benedict's Prep) fed Borrajo for the latter's first goal giving Montclair a 2-1 lead.

But the Pionners kept battling and got the equalizer from Lemache as he played a ball from the middle and moved on goal before slipping a shot past Lynch.

In the first overtime, William Paterson got two chances in the first three minutes however Lynch came up with a save on both occasions. The Red Hawks got the only shot on goal in the second OT however Pioneer keeper Mike Diacheysn (Nutley, NJ / Nutley) snared the attempt by Olla with 4:03 left in the period.
