Courtney Matlock (Jackson, NJ, Jackson Memorial) posted a season-best 18 kills while classmate
Melissa Terpstra (Midland Park, NJ, Midland Park) added 12 kills however Montclair State fell to 0-4 with a tough four-set loss at Baruch College on Wednesday evening.
Senior libero
Kaitlyn Irwin (Cranford, NJ, Cranford) had 24 digs for MSU, which dropped the first two sets 25-20 and 25-21 before taking the third 25-12. Baruch closed out the match with a 25-18 victory in the fourth set.
Sophomore
Dana McNish (Hawthorne, NJ, Hawthorne) had five kills while Terpstra registered a double-double with 12 digs to go along with her 12 kills. Junior setter
Angela Campo (Washington Township, NJ, Westwood) chipped in with 48 assists and nine digs.
The Red Hawks return to action on Tuesday, September 10 with their home opener against College of St. Elizabeth. First serve of the contest begins at 7:00 pm.
