LAVRONE GREEN (Teaneck, NJ / Teaneck) posted his third straight 20-point game finishing with 23 points however Montclair State dropped its fifth straight contest falling at Rutgers-Newark, 98-71 on Wednesday evening.

ERICK LOFTEN-HARRIS (Union, NJ / Union ) tallied 19 points with
SHAUN RUSSELL (Brooklyn, NY / Willingboro) netting 15 as the Red Hawks fell to 5-12 overall, 2-10 in the NJAC with the loss.
MSU got out to a 13-8 lead in the first six minutesas Green connected on a jumper with 14:03 to play in the opening half. The Scarlet Raiders scored six of the next seven points to take the lead however Loften-Harris connected twice from the free throw line to put MSU back in front 15-14. Rutgers-Newark then went on a 28-8 run to build a 42-23 lead with three minutes to go before halftime. The Scarlet Radiers led 48-29 at the break.
DEVYN RANSOM (Jersey City, NJ / Marist) had four points and four rebounds for the Red Hawks.
Montclair State will look to snap its streak on Saturday, January 31 when it travels to Mahwah to face Ramapo College at 3:00 pm.
