Montclair, NJ - Junior midfielder Kevin Olaya and junior forward Kenny Rocha each had a goal and assist as Kean University shocked No. 5 Montclair State with a 3-0 victory at MSU Soccer Park on Wednesday evening.
Freshman goalkeeper Chidi Iloka stopped five shots for his fifth shutout of the season as the Cougars (13-2, 4-1 NJAC) bounced back from their double-overtime loss on Saturday downing MSU for the first time since a 2-1 overtime victory in 2004 snapping a 12-game losing streak to the Red Hawks. Kean also won at MSU Soccer Park for the first time since 2001.

MIKE SAALFRANK made four saves for the Red Hawks (13-2, 5-1 NJAC), which had its seven-game winning streak snapped with the loss. MSU was also shutout for the first time this season.
Montclair State held a 14-11 advantage in shots however it was the Cougars that did all of the scoring. Iloka made two saves early against
DAMIAN BZIUKIEWICZ and Saalfrank denied Olaya at the 9:54 mark. Saalfrank came up with another save against Timofei Kharisov in the 25th minute and stopped a rebound shot by Olaya to keep the game scoreless.
A foul inside the box by MSU at 29:15 led to the first goal as Olaya buried the penalty kick for his fifth goal of the season and the first for Kean against Montclair since 2011.
Kean would take the 1-0 lead into the second half and added to it in the 52nd minute as Olaya set up Rocha for the latter's third goal of the season extending the Cougars lead to 2-0. Iloka kept the game that way with two saves just over two minutes later with Kean adding the final goal at 69:33 on Robert Barrera's second goal of the year off a feed from Rocha.
The Red Hawks will look to get back on the winning track this Saturday, October 17 when it travels to Camden, NJ to face Rutgers-Camden at 1:00 pm. It will be a rematch of last year's NJAC Championship contest won by the Red Hawks.
