Montclair, NJ - Montclair State looks to get over the .500 mark for the first time this season as the Red Hawks head to Ewing to face The College of New Jersey in the 83rd renewal of the oldest active collegiate football rivarly in the Garden State.

The Red Hawks made it three straight victories.with a 32-22 come-from-behind victory against Christopher Newport last Saturday. Montclair fell behind 22-7 at the half but turned it all around in the second half scoring on four of its seven possession while holding the Captains to just 56 yards over the final 30 minutes. Senior BILL SHIMKO sparked the comeback with two intercpetions and three pass breakups along with eight tackles. Running back DENZEL NIEVES rushed for 104 yards and a pair of touchdowns with RYAN DAVIES throwing for two more. The MSU defense, led by linebacker MICHAEL TENPENNY with 11 tackles, forced five turnovers including four interceptions.

Taking on New Jersey Athletic Conference newcomer Frostburg State, The College of New Jersey fell behind early and were never able to get back within striking distance as the Bobcats posted a 19-6 win in Maryland on Saturday. Michael Marchesano was a steady 16-for-28 and 161 yards. Senior Max Boerstoel was his favorite target as he reeled in six catches for 74 yards. On the ground, senior Victor Scalici average a solid 4.7 yards per carry as he had 66 yards on 14 attempts.  Sophomore Shane Kelley had a huge game on the defensive side of the ball for the Lions with 10 tackles. Freshman Jesse Streb finished with five solo tackles and added an interception.
