Montclair, NJ – Senior attack
TIERNEY CONLON scored a goal and registered seven assists becoming the NCAA Division III all-time leader in the latter category as Montclair State closed out its regular season with a 19-4 victory over Rutgers-Camden on Saturday afternoon.
Senior
JENNA BUSSIERE scored four times with sophomore Avianna Paraggio adding three as the Red Hawks (10-5) won for the eighth time in its last nine outings. MSU also locked up the No. 2 seed in the upcoming NJAC Tournament and will host a semifinal contest on Wednesday, April 29 at 7:00 pm against third-seeded Rowan. It will be the second straight season the two will square off. Last year the Profs downed MSU, 15-4 in the semifinals however MSU has won two of the last three meetings including a 14-13 win at Sprague Field on April 11.
The Red Hawks scored the first four goals of the game with Conlon collecting two assists as she tied the mark of 240 held by Buffalo State's Kendyl Clarkson.
FRANCESCA VERRONE scored the first with Bussiere adding the next two before Paraggio netted her first of the game with 26:28 remaining.
Holly Cusick (North Cape May, NJ / Lower Cape May Regional), who finished with two goals, stopped the run for the Scarlet Raptors (1-13, 0-6 NJAC) but Montclair went on to score the final 10 goals of the period for a 14-1 lead at the break.
Verrone began the run with her second of the game finishing off the give-and-go with Conlon. The assist put Conlon one ahead of Clarkson for the NCAA Division III all-time mark and she now has 245 for her career, including 22 in her last four games.

KASEY MAGUIRE and Paraggio as the lead went to 8-1 with 19 minutes to play. Bussiere, Alex DiPiero and
AMANDA BEAL all scored within 1:33 of each other for an 11-1 advantage before MSU closed out the half with goals by Maguire,
BRIANNA RIVERA and
BRITTANY DILGER, who recorded the first goal of her career.
Bussiere had five draw controls for Montclair State while Maguire and Verrone had four and three, respectively. Paraggio led MSU with five ground balls with Rivera notching a season-high four. Goalkeeper
ALEXANDRA TEPPER made one save in the first half before giving way to Rebecca Meyers, who stopped three shots in the final 30 minutes.
Krystal Valianti had two goals for the Scarlet Raptors. Goalkeepr Alexa Rocks (Cinnaminson, NJ / Cinnaminson) stopped 11 shots while Jessica Mayer (Cinnaminson, NJ / Cinnaminson) had a pair of draws.
