ZACH SCHRECK scored seven goals with junior
BRETT MANGAN adding five as top-seeded and six-time defending champion Montclair State grinded its way past fourth-seeded Farmingdale State, 17-8 in the Skyline Conference semifinals at Sprague Field on Wednesday.

MICHAEL SCHRECK scored twice and picked up an assist as MSU (12-5), winners of six straight, advances to their eighth straight conference title game. The Red Hawks will face second-seeded Stockton University, a 17-11 winner of No. 3 seed Kean University, for the league crown and automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship on Saturday, May 2 at 1:00 pm.
Montclair State won the regular-season meeting between the teams, 9-7 in Galloway Township on April 1.
Michael Cegielski had two goals and two assists for the Rams, who fell back to the .500 mark at 8-8 with their second loss to MSU in the last two weeks. Farmingdale State fell to Montclair 13-4 at Sprague Field on April 15.

ZACH SCHRECK netted his first at 7:09 on the power play for a 2-0 MSU lead. Donovan Devaney answered for the Rams as Montclair led 2-1 after one period.
MICHAEL SCHRECK's goal a minute into the second put the Red Hawks in front 3-1 however Nick LeBright and Tyler Rifice scored 20 seconds apart for Farmingdale tying the game at 3-3 with 12:01 remaining
MICHAEL JEVIC put Montclair back on top with 10:57 to go and Mangan scored two minutes later for a 5-3 lead before
ZACH SCHRECK connected on his second as MSU took a 6-3 lead into halftime.
MSU came out firing in the second half with four goals in the first five minutes.
MICHAEL SCHRECK had a power-play tally 35 seconds in before Mangan tallied twice in two minutes extending the lead to 9-3.
ZACH SCHRECK capped off what was a seven-goal run by the Red Hawks for a 10-3 lead with 10:10 left.
Farmingdale recorded three of the final four goals of the period, two by Cegielski to get within 11-6.
ZACH SCHRECK and Mike Strebel traded goals to open the fourth before consecutive goals by

SHAUN STERNER extended the lead to 14-7 with 10:44 to go. Philip Schaefer got what turned out to be the final goal for the Rams at the halfway point of the period.
The Red Hawks closed out the game with the final three, two by Mangan including the last with 3:11 to play.

LUCAS JONES stopped 11 shots for MSU while
BLASE MANTINEO won 12 faceoffs and recorded eight ground balls. Danyluk and
ALEX GUGLIELMI forced a pair of turnovers each.
