ALEXIS AMBROSINO scored a pair of goals as 13
th-ranked Montclair State exploded for five goals in the second half closing out its regular-season with a 6-1 win at Ramapo College on Saturday.

KELLY WATSON had a goal and assist for the Red Hawks, who won their sixth straight. Montclair upped its record to 15-4 (5-1 NJAC), reaching 15 wins for the 11
th time in program history and fifth time in the last six years.
Montclair now turns its attention to Wednesday, November 2 when it hosts Kean in the semifinals of the NJAC Tournament at Sprague Field. The Cougars and Red Hawks square off at 7:00 pm in their second meeting in two weeks. MSU posted a 3-1 win at Sprague Field back on October 18.
MSU dominated the Roadrunners (2-12, 0-6 NJAC) outshooting the hosts 36-5 including 24-1 in the first half. Despite the huge advantage in shots, the Red Hawks couldn't solve keeper Emily Kramer, who had 20 saves in the first half in addition to stopping penalty stroke with 6:25 left.
Montclair State also went wide on a second penalty stroke and had two more shots kept out of the cage on defensive saves until it broke through with 1:09 to play on the first of Ambrosino's two goals.
KAILEY DALGAUER got the assist.
Ambrosino wasted little time extending the lead scoring 62 seconds into the second half and a goal by Watson at 40:27 made the score, 3-0.
DANIELLE BUTRICO added her ninth goal of the year four minutes later before Ramapo ended the shutout bid on Ronni Wellema's goal with 15:56 to go.
Montclair's
RACHEL VOLPE answered that less than a minute later for a 5-1 lead.
KEELEY WINN got the final goal of the day, her first of the year with 4:41 remaining.
KAITLIN MAGUIRE made one saves for the Red Hawks.
