Montclair, NJ – Junior forward Christopher Mosley scored a game-high 22 points and led four players in double figures as Ramapo College remained unbeaten with its fifth straight win in an 86-58 victory over Montclair State on Wednesday evening.
Thomas Bonacum added 16 points and three assists as the Roadrunners (5-0, 2-0 NJAC) picked up their fifth consecutive victory over MSU (2-3, 1-1 NJAC) and now trail the all-time series 46-42. Sultan Aminu (7 rebounds) and Jermaine Peart had 12 and 10 points respectively.

BRANDON CHANNER posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds along with six steals as the Red Hawks had their two-game winning streak snapped.
The Roadrunners never trailed in the game and led for all but 52 seconds of the contest. Mosley broke a 4-4 tie with a layup and Zahir Newell followed with a short jumper before a dunk by Aminu ade the scored 10-4 with 12:21 to play in the first half. Corey Soanes hit two free throws to put Ramapo up nine but Montclair closed the game to 16-14 after
DANIEL RAMIS drilled a three-pointer with 8:43 to go.
Ramapo countered with the next seven points, five by Mosley which restored the lead to 23-14. Back-to-back buckets by Peart and Noah Basket got the lead to 29-17 with five minutes left. Ramis connected on another three with 82 seconds before halftime pulling MSU within 35-31 however Soanes scored twice in the last 24 seconds for a 39-31 Roadrunner advantage at the break.
Josh Ford opener the second with a layup and Mosley collected the next four points in a 6-0 run widening the Roadrunner lead to 45-31.
JUSTIN PORTER hit twice from the line for the Red Hawks to make the score 51-40 with 15:13 however that would be as close as Montclair State would get the remainder of the contest.
???????Aminu added four steals, three blocks and two assists for Ramapo, which shot 62 percent (34-of-55) from the field, including 20-of-29 (69 percent) in the second half. The Roadrunners also capitalized
on 23 Montclair State turnovers turning those miscues into 32 points.
Ramis and
JOVANNI CHATHAM each finished with 10 points while Porter and
RAHSAAN JOHNSON each had eight points. Johnson also had six rebounds for the Red Hawks.
Montclair State returns to action on Saturday, December 3 on the road at Rutgers-Newark with an 8:00 tip off at the Golden Dome in Newark, NJ.
