Montclair, NJ - After being shutout by Messiah College last Friday, the Red Hawks attack exploded in the first-half of the Monday night matchup against the City College of New York, scoring six goals.
Junior midfielder
KEVIN SIMEK had an impressive first-half, netting the first two goals for MSU. Simek's first goal came from an excellent cross by sophomore defender
STEFAN KOROMAN in the '10. The midfielder superb form was in full effect after running through the Beavers defense to draw a penalty kick he'd later put away for his double.
Koroman, who had an unbelievable game was fantastic on the right flank. The Wayne Hills product created MSU's third goal of the match with his wicked right-foot cross, which freshman forward

MIKE TARANTO was also on the scoring sheet after tapping in a pass from junior midfielder
JAKE SEAMAN.
The Red Hawks were in the drivng seat throughout the match and controlled the tempo. Forward
DEVAUGHN FOSTER came off the bench to score Montclair State's fifth goal. The second-year player was active all night and gave CCNY back-line trouble with his pace.
Just before half-time, freshman forward
DIMITRI MATARAS netted the home side sixth goal after chipping goalkeeper Bryant Ibarra. koroman was once again involved after supplying a deadly through ball pass over the top.
Sophomore
MATT NETO secured the seventh goal of the match after Foster dribbled through the Beavers defense for an easy sitter. MSU generated 28 shots, 11 on goals, while the visiting squad only managed two. Junior goalkeeper
MIKE SAALFRANK picked up his second shutout in the last three games as the Red Hawks breezed pass the Beavers.
Up next for Montclair State is Moravian College on Wednesday, September 13, at MSU Soccer Park. The kickoff is set for 7:00 PM.
