Wellesley, MA - The Montclair State women's soccer team plays another draw at Wellesley College after a strong second-half performances by freshman

TYLER MADISON. The duo came up big once again to salvage a 3-3 tie against the Blues in a rainy Sunday afternoon.

MADDY MCLELLAND grabbed her first goal of the season in the 10th minute to hand the Red Hawks an early lead before WC's Carley Phillips leveled things up in the 26th minute. Both teams created goal scoring opportunities just before halftime but came up short.
Four minutes into the second-half, Wellesley's Hannah Knoll put the home side in front after Ella Matticks assist. The Blue's struck again in the 70th minute when Phillips netted her second goal of the match, and Wellesley were destined to pick up their second win of the season, but the Red Hawks had other plans in mind.
Just like Fridays' opener, Cunha stepped up to the plate and delivered another crucial goal for MSU in the 77th minute after a brilliant cross by Madison, who later scored the equalizing goal to even the score at 3-3 from a wonderful through ball from McLelland. For the second consecutive game, the Red Hawks were taken to double overtime and in this game alone, MSU directed 25 shots and managed to get eight of them on goal, the total number of shots Wellesley produced all game.
