New York, NY - Men's soccer picks up a huge victory over Hunter College on Wednesday night, thanks to junior RAFAEL TERCI's brace. After losing a heartbreaker on Sunday, the Red Hawks came with a vengeance beating the Hawks, 8-0.

Junior midfielder JAKE SEAMAN opened the floodgate in the 24th minute with an amazing header, thanks to fellow junior KEVIN SIMEK's clever cross. Senior MIKE TARANTO also made a contribution with a goal in the 23rd minute, followed by Terci's glaring shot to the top corner for his first of the match. Taranto got into the action again in the 22nd minute when he buried MSU's fourth goal from senior JUSTIN CLANCY's through ball. Freshman CHAZ BURNETT scored Montclair State's fifth goal of the half from sophomore JERMAINE SMALL's assist with just one minute left on the clock.

The Red Hawks controlled the tempo throughout the match.. MSU generated eight shots in the first-half and manufactured five goals.. Terci completed his brace in the 50th minute, while fellow sophomores NIXON SOLGO and Matt Neto scored Montclair State's final two goals ('73, '86).

Montclair State's dominance came at the right time with 11th-ranked Messiah College on the radar. The Red Hawks clash with the Falcons on Saturday, September 9, at Grantham, PA. The match is set to kickoff at 7 PM.
