Montclair, NJ – Sophomore guard
MYLES MITCHELL-WHITE scored a game-high 23 points along with three steals as Montclair State powered its way to a 101-76 victory over City College of New York in the Ollie Gelston Classic at the Panzer Athletic Center on Saturday afternoon.
Mitchell-White led six plyers in double figures as the Red Hawks put together nearly two identical scoring halves as they improved to 3-0 on the year.
Senior
JORDAN ROBERSON registered a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds while sophomore
JOSEPH RADI hit five times from behind the arc and finished with 15 points.

JALEN PARHAM each scored 10.
MSU trailed by six points early in the game before going on an 11-0 run capped by a three from Radi for a 17-14 advantage. After CCNY tied the game on its next trip down the floor, the Red Hawks ripped off 12 in a row started by a three from Mitchell-White for a 29-17 lead with nine minutes left in the opening period.
CCNY trimmed the deficit back to 37-31 with 3:56 to play but Montclair closed out the half with a 13-3 run. Porter had eight points in the spirt as the Red Hawks took a 51-34 lead into the locker room.
Radi hit three time from behind the arc in the second half, including back-to-back triples giving Montclair State a 69-44 advantage with 13:31 to go in the second half.
PETER OBERTAN, JR. converted a three-point play late in the half for a 99-72 lead with
TROY EDWARDS putting MSU over the century mark on a jumper with 53 seconds to play.
Montclair State shot 38-of-69 (55 percent) from the field for the game and outrebounded the Beavers (0-3), 47-18 including 19 rebounds that translated into 26 second-chance points. MSU also turned 14 CCNY miscues into 18 points.
Montclair State returns to action on Tuesday, November 20 as it hosts local rival William Paterson in its NJAC opener. The Red Hawks and Pioneers battle at the Panzer Athletic Center with tipoff scheduled for 8:00 pm.
