Union, NJ – The Montclair State volleyball team fell short in its bid for a second NJAC championship in three years on Saturday as the Red Hawks fell to Kean University 3-0 at Harwood Arena.
The Red Hawks season ends at 20-10 as the Cougars knocked off MSU 25-22, 25-15 and 25-13 to claim their second straight championship and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship.

CARLY WATERMAN led MSU with nine kills and added five digs with senior
NATALIA MAJKUT added six kills and a pair of blocks. Freshman

ASHLEY GRIFFITH totaled 21 assists with libero
SIYARA HERBERT registering nine digs.
The Red Hawks were making their seventh appearance in the NJAC Championship Match and are 3-4 in those contests having won titles in 1997, 2007 and 2016.
