NIXON SOGLO scored twice and
JAKE SEAMAN completed the comeback as Montclair State stunned William Paterson with a 3-1 victory at Wightman Field on Wednesday evening.

RAFAEL TERCI collected an assist as the Red Hawks (9-1-1, 3-0 NJAC) extended their winning streak to five after scoring three times in the final 20 minutes of the match. Kyle Adams scored the lone goal for the Pioneers (5-3-1, 1-2 NJAC).
MSU outshot WPU 10-4 in the first half yet it was William Paterson getting the first goal in the ninth minute. Cameron Allen sent a free kick that was deflected. The carom fell to Adams who finished the play for his first goal of the season.
Montclair State would pressure the remainder of the half however Kyle Quigley made four saves sending the hosts into halftime up one goal. Quigley helped the Pioneers hold on to the one-goal lead with four saves in the first 12 minutes of the second half and thorough 70 minutes before the Red Hawks finally broke through.
Soglo knotted the match at 70:43 with a shot from the left side of the box that tucked inside the right post. Five minutes later it was the go-ahead goal with Terci sliding a pass to Soglo who went 1-on-1 with Quigley before depositing a shot into the back of the net for a 2-1 Montclair State advantage.
Seaman finished off the rally with 2:25 remaining tucking a shot under the crossbar from the inside the edge of the box. It was Seaman's first goal of the year.
MIKE SAALFRANK made two saves for the Red Hawks, who outshot WPU 17-7 in the match.
Montclair State is back in action on Saturday, September 29 as it heads to Newark, NJ for a 7:30 pm conference matchup against Rutgers-Newark.
