HUNTER ROMANOWSKI won a pair of individual events as Montclair State picked up its second straight victory in a 159-124 win at Vassar College on Wednesday evening.

KEVIN CLAUSS also captured two events as the Red Hawks improved to 2-5 on the season.
Romanowski swept the sprint freestyle events taking the 50 free in a time of 22.36 seconds before coming back to win the 100 in a time of 48.06 seconds. Clauss earned the top spot in the breaststroke events clocking in at 1:01.23 in the 100 and 2:16.27 in the 200.
The two were also part of winning relays that bookended the victory for MSU. Clauss joined James SIngewald,
KEVIN HENNINGSEN and
CHARLES COBBERTT on the 200 medley relay that timed in a 1:39.69. Romanowski anchored the 400 freestyle relay teaming with Keving Gibson,
DANIEL BORJAS and
TYLER DORSETT for a time of 3:20.52.
Gibson led a 1-2 finish for the Red Hawks in the 1000 freestyle as he out-touched Dorsett (10:21.02) with a time of 10:20.32. Cobbertt was victorious in the 100 backstroke (53.61) with Singewald capturing the 200 backstroke (2:05.87).
The Red Hawks are back in action on Saturday, January 26 in their final dual meet of the season. MSU makes the short nine-mile trek to Wayne, NJ to face William Paterson at 1:00 pm.
