Montclair, NJ - MSU field hockey picked up its first NJAC win as it slipped past William Paterson 1-0 on Wednesday evening at Sprague Field.
ELIZABETH CIMILLUCA scored the lone goal for the Red Hawks to help them improve to 9-6 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
The Red Hawks outshot the Pioneers 8-2 in the defensive-minded contest.
Cimilluca picked up her sixth goal of the season in the first half after ripping a shot from just inside the circle. The goal ended a three-game scoreless streak for MSU.

NICOLE ANDRIANI faced zero shots on net. William Paterson had a last-second chance to tie the game, but couldn't convert on a scramble at the net.
Montclair travels to Glassboro, NJ to face Rowan at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
