NATE NAHIRNY pumped in 26 points as Montclair State put seven players in double figures as the Red Hawks downed Bridgewater (VA) 112-101 at the Pablo Coto Tip-Off Tournament at Marymount University on Saturday.
JALEN PARHAM added 19 points and six rebounds off the bench as MSU (2-1) moved into the championship game of the tournament on Sunday, November 17. The Red Hawks will face Wilkes University at 2:00 pm.

AKBAR HOFFMAN and junior
IRVING CALLENDER IV chipped in with 18 and 14 points respectively for Montclair, which topped the century mark for the third time in as many game this season. It is the first time the Red Hawks had achieved that feat since the 1968-69 season when it opened that year in the same fashion.
The Red Hawks trailed 6-5 early in the contest however a nine-point run would give MSU the lead.
EDDIE EMEDOH scored from in close to put Montclair on top. Parham followed with a layup on the break and later buried a three-point with 16:04 to play for a 14-6 advantage. The Eagles (0-1) would tie the score twice, the last coming at 25-25 with 9:35 left. Callender untied it with a jumper and Emedoh followed with a layup for a four-point advantage which would fluctuate over the final minutes until a three by Nahirny sent the Red Hawks into the break with a 57-49 lead.
Nahirny would open the second half with another three pushing the lead to double digits, 60-50 and Montclair went up by as many as 14 before Bridgewater battled back getting within 71-67 on a three by Chandler Murray with 14:05 left. The Red Hawks' lead would again bounce between 3-8 points until a 14-2 run late in the half all but put the game away.
Leading 89-84, Parham finished off a three-point play and then added another layup the next trip down for a 94-84 lead with 6:44 to go.
JUSTIN PORTER followed with the next seven before Parham's fast-break layup a minute later widened the MSU lead to 103-86.
Bridgewater got within 104-97 inside two minutes on a three by Murray but Parham countered with a three of his own at the other end restoring the margin to 10 points with 1:37 remaining.
Emedoh and Porter had 12 and 11 points respectively with
STEVE BREEMAN notching 10 points along with four rebounds. Callender led all Montclair rebounders with eight while Emedoh and Parham registered six apiece. Porter, Hoffman and
JOSEPH RADI posted four steals each.
