Galloway, NJ – Stockton University attackman Luc Swedlund scored six times, including three times in the final quarter as the Ospreys rallied past Montclair State, 14-11 to claim the Colonial States Athletic Conference championship on Saturday afternoon.
Joey Tiernan added three goals as Stockton (17-2) overcame a two-goal deficit in the final period to claim its first conference title as well as the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship.

CHRISTIAN BOYLE tallied three goals for the Red Hawks, who finished the year at 10-7. MSU was seeking its 10
th consecutive conference championship having won nine straight Skyline titles from 2009-17 before spending last season as an independent.
Stockton led 2-1 five minutes into the contest before the Red Hawks scored three consecutive goals.
DAN BELLEZZA got the first with 7:24 to play and
TYLER MCCREERY got a man-up goal with five minutes left giving MSU the lead.
STEVE PRINCE scored 40 seconds later for a two-goal advantage.
The Ospreys' Eric Ellis connected just before the end of the first however goals by
SEAN STADTLANDER and Boyle to open the second made the score 6-3. Swedlund hit with 6:55 left but Boyle answered a little more than a minute later and Bellezza's second with 49 seconds left sent Montclair into the break with an 8-4 lead.
The teams traded goals to begin the second half before back-to-back scored by Swedlund and Tiernan, the latter on the man-advantage cut the lead to 9-7 with 4:40 to go in the third.
JESSE JAMES WEST countered for MSU with Swedlund's goal inside three minutes getting the Ospreys within 10-8 heading into the final period.
Swedlund, named MVP of the tournament, scored twice sparking a three-goal run to open the fourth as Stockton took the lead 11-10 with 10:53 remaining. Boyle capitalized on a man-up opportunity to tie the game however that would be the last goal the Red Hawks would get. Swedlund regained the lead with 4:46 left and a J.J. McKenna goal less than a minute later making the score 13-11. Dante Poli all but sealed the victory scoring with 2:28 remaining in the contest.
KYLE MATTHEWS was 17-of-29 on faceoffs and scooped up 14 ground balls as he tied the single-game record for the latter statistic.
TYLER BALL forced two turnovers as did
MICHAEL FERDINANDI.
MATTHEW MCLAREN made nine saves.
