Volleyball: Gameday Preview vs. Ramapo

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State volleyball team hosts Ramapo College in New Jersey Athletic Conference action Tuesday evening.

LAST TIME OUT

The Red Hawks swept a tri-match against St. Joseph's-Long Island and Neumann on Saturday. CARLY WATERMAN posted 11 kills and nine digs against the Golden Eagles before notching 13 digs against Neumann. Montclair State limited Neumann to a -.093 hitting percentage and forced 30 attack errors.

RAMAPO REPORT

The Roadrunners enter the match at 5-8 and have won two straight matches. They are looking for their first conference win after starting 0-4 and 0-3 on the road. Ramapo notched three-set victories over Lehman and Immaculata in a home tri-match last Saturday.
 
LAST MEETING

The Red Hawks downed Ramapo in straight sets in the semifinals of the NJAC Tournament on November 5, 2019. LEAH HIGGINS led the way with 14 kills, while CARLY WATERMAN notched a double-double of 13 kills and 12 digs. Montclair rode a hot start, hitting .487 in the first set while committing just one error.
 
SERIES HISTORY

Montclair is 30-10 all-time against Ramapo, including wins in the last three meetings. From 1991-2003, the Red Hawks notched 16 consecutive victories over their North Jersey rivals. Ramapo last came away with a victory in 2017 as they claimed a four-set win.
