Volleyball: Gameday Preview vs. FDU-Florham

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State volleyball team hosts FDU-Florham in a non-conference match Wednesday evening.

LAST TIME OUT
Last night, the Red Hawks knocked off Ramapo College in NJAC play to extend their winning streak to seven matches. Senior CARLY WATERMAN posted a double-double of 12 kills and 10 digs, while classmate DELANEY ST. PIERRE handed out 39 assists and added five kills.

FDU REPORT
The Devils are 9-7 overall, but 1-4 within the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom. They are coming off a sweep of the Gwynedd Mercy tri-match on Saturday, as they downed Penn State-Abington in five before taking out host Gwynedd Mercy in three.

LAST MEETING
Montclair State swept FDU 3-0 in their last meeting back on September 15, 2018. Higgins led MSU with seven kills and two aces, while Waterman chipped in five kills and eight digs.

SERIES HISTORY
FDU holds a 10-8 series lead all-time, and Montclair snapped a four-match losing skid to the Devils in their last victory. FDU had taken seven of the past eight meetings between the two local rivals, with Montclair winning in 2007 and 2018.
