Volleyball Chosen Second in NJAC Preseason Coaches Poll

Montclair, NJ - The Montclair State volleyball team was selected to finish second in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.

The Red Hawks, who advanced to the NJAC Championship Match last spring, received two first-place votes. Defending NJAC Champions Stockton University gained five first-place tallies to gain the top spot, while Kean University picked up an additional first-place vote. The Cougars, who MSU knocked off in the NJAC Semifinals, were selected third.

Rowan University was the dark-horse choice and slotted fourth while Ramapo College claimed the final first-place vote en route to a fifth-place slot. Rounding out the poll were Rutgers-Camden, Rutgers-Camden, New Jersey City University, and William Paterson University.

The Red Hawks open their 2021 campaign on September 1 at 7 pm when they welcome Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham to the Panzer Athletic Center.
