Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State volleyball team welcomes Kean University for a New Jersey Athletic Conference matchup Thursday evening.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks dropped a heartbreaker to Rowan in NJAC play Tuesday. Montclair State fell in the first set but rebounded to claim sets two and three. The host Profs battled back and closed out the match with wins in the fourth and fifth stanzas.

KEAN REPORT
Kean is an even 5-5 on the year but are 2-0 in the NJAC. They knocked Ramapo 3-1 in the first NJAC match before winning 3-0 against William Paterson on Tuesday evening. In between the NJAC games, they split a home tri-match against Penn State-Behrend and Brooklyn. They fell in four to the Nittany Lions before sweeping Brooklyn in the final match.
LAST MEETING
Last year, Montclair knocked off Kean in straight sets in the NJAC Semifinals, winning 25-22, 25-17, and 25-12.
LEAH HIGGINS led MSU with 15 kills while
DELANEY ST. PIERRE posted a double-double of 29 assists and 11 digs.
SERIES HISTORY
The Red Hawks are 16-30 all-time against Kean, but the notched wins in both games last year. Before that, Kean had won five straight, including a pair of wins in 2017 and 2018. The longest winning streak in the series is five from 2006-2010, while Kean opened the series with 10 straight wins.
