Swimming and Diving: Meet Day Preview vs. FDU-Florham

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State swimming and diving teams return to the pool Wednesday to face FDU-Florham.
 
MEET INFO
The meet will be held at the Panzer Pool at 3 pm. Live video can be found on the Red Hawk Sports Network YouTube Channel.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The men's team took down the College of Staten Island on December 10, picking up a 117-72 win to move to 4-2. Senior TYLER DORSETT and sophomore RYAN KAPPES won two individual events while LUCAS GOMES notched a relay win and an individual win. On the women's side, they topped CSI 102-72 to increase their record to 4-2-1. Sophomore LIDIA BOGUSLAWSKA picked up victories in the 100-butterfly and 500-freestyle while Juliet DiPasquale, JULIE TIEDEMANN, and EMILY ROTHAMEL all gained wins.
               
AWARD SEASON
The Red Hawks swept the NJAC awards on December 13. TYLER DORSETT was named the Swimmer of the Week on the men's side as ALEX PALLEN and LUCAS GOMES were chosen as the Diver of the Week and Rookie of the Week respectively. On the women's side, LIDIA BOGUSLAWSKA was the Swimmer of the Week and was joined by EMMA BOWERS and JULIE TIEDEMANN. Bowers was the Diver of the Week while Tiedemann was Rookie of the Week.
 
SCOUTING THE DEVILS
The men's team comes enters with a 3-1 record and their season-opening three-meet winning streak snapped last Wednesday by Western Connecticut.  The women's team is perfect 4-0 after knocking off Western Connecticut 131-56 Wednesday afternoon.
 
MEET HISTORY

The men and women's team have posted identical 6-0 records against FDU-Florham since their first meeting on January 5, 2013.
 
LAST MEETING
In their last meet on January 14, 2020, the women's team notched a 102-72 triumph over their in-state rivals. The Red Hawks took the top-three spots in the 200-free while they claimed the top-two times in the 200-medley relay. The 200-freestyle relay also claimed first place to close out the meet. The men's team earned a 113-83 decision, led by Dorsett who took first in the 200-IM. Kevin Gibson was a part of the winning team in the 200-medley relay and took second in the 100-backstroke.
 
UP NEXT
The Red Hawks will host Ramapo College on Saturday at 1 pm. Prior to the meet, the Red Hawks will honor the 2021 Senior Class in a pre-meet ceremony.
