Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State men's and women's swimming and diving teams returned to dual meet action for the first time in over a month and came away with a sweep of FDU-Florham at the Panzer Pool on Wednesday.
The men's team posted an 87-48 victory over the Devils to improve to 5-2 on the year while the women are now 5-2-1 on the season following a 121-81 triumph.
DENNIS DELARGY,
SPENSER DUBOIS,
JOHN ENGLERT, and
JOSH ZITOMER helped MSU capture the 200 medley relay posting a time of 2:00:00. Delargy recorded an individual win in the 50 freestyle (23.27) with Englert taking top honors in the 200 butterfly (2:04.08). Zitomer was a winner in the 100 freestyle clocking in at 52.32 seconds.
TYLER DORSETT placed first in the 1000 freestyle (10:41.52) and
LUCAS GOMES claimed first place in the 200 freestyle (1:46.14).
On the women's side,
TAYLOR WADDLETON made it a 1000 freestyle sweep for the Red Hawks as she swam 11:14.32 for the event victory.
EMILY ROTHAMEL posted a time of 2:06.27 to take the 200 freestyle with
JULIANA SKOPP-CARDILLO (26.07) capturing the 50 freestyle.
LIDIA BOGUSLAWSKA was first in the 100 freestyle (56.31) with
JULIE TIEDEMANN rounding out the MSU individual victories by winning the 500 freestyle (5:28.50).
Rothmel,
ABBY BROCK,
JULIET DI PASQUALE, and
SOPHIA CIARAVINO teamed up for a victory in the 200 medley relay (1:55.44).
Both Red Hawks squads are back at the Panzer Pool for their next meet. Montclair State hosts Ramapo in an NJAC contest on Saturday, November 20 at 1:00 pm.
