The Red Hawks are led by Head Coach Rick Giancola, who enters his 40th season at the helm. He enters the 2022 campaign as the active winningest coach in Division III and is fourth among all NCAA coaches. He has led MSU to 11 NJAC titles and nine NCAA Division III Tournament appearances.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (2-4) were clipped by Kean 23-22 last Saturday. ERIC COWAN, named to the D3football.com Team of the Week, tallied four catches for 167 yards and two touchdowns, as RYAN VISALLI returned a blocked punt for the other score.

SCOUTING TCNJ
The Lions are 1-3 on the year and 0-1 in the NJAC. In their last game, they dropped a 23-21 contest to Rowan, falling on a last-second field goal. They began the year with a 31-13 triumph over Moravian but dropped the next two.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Montclair holds a 55-31-2 advantage in the series and saw their four-game winning streak snapped at home last season. Three of the previous four meetings have been decided by five points or less, and the Red Hawks are 21-8-1 in Ewing.
 
LAST MEETING
The Red Hawks fell 14-9 to TCNJ last season, with the Lions notching a touchdown with 11:34 left to be the difference. Montclair drove down the field at the end of the game and got as far as the TCNJ 16-yard line. JA'QUILL BURCH tossed a pass as time expired to ZAHIR WILDER, but the pass fell incomplete.

After a bye week, the Red Hawks host Christopher Newport in their annual Homecoming Game on October 29 at 1 pm.
