Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State volleyball team visits Drew University for a tri-match Saturday afternoon.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (10-10, 3-4 NJAC) returned to the win column with a straight-set victory over William Paterson Thursday. LEAH HIGGINS tallied 11 kills, while CARLY WATERMAN added 10 kills and eight digs. EMMA HATCHER scooped up 12 digs on the defensive side as MIA CAPRIGLIONE led the way with three blocks.

SCOUTING SARAH LAWRENCE
The Gryphons are 10-10 on the year, including a 4-2 mark in the Skyline Conference. They have dropped six consecutive matches after opening the year with five straight wins, with their last victory coming against Maritime on October 1. 

SCOUTING DREW
The Rangers are 10-10 on the year and 0-3 in the Landmark Conference. They snapped a four-match losing skid on Tuesday with a straight-set win over Vassar but fell to Stevens in four sets Thursday night.

SERIES HISTORY
Montclair is 2-0 all-time against Sarah Lawrence, notching 3-0 wins in 2012 and 2015. The Red Hawks are 0-2 against Drew, falling in five sets last season and four earlier this year.

LAST MEETING
Montclair dropped a 3-1 decision to Drew on September 3, 2022, receiving 13 kills and 15 digs from LEAH HIGGINS. DELANEY ST. PIERRE also recorded a double-double, tallying 30 assists and 16 digs. The Red Hawks picked up a 3-0 win over Sarah Lawrence on September 26, 2015, with Danielle Murray pacing the team with nine kills. Current assistant coach Rebecca Matasker slammed down four kills and added a pair of aces in the victory.
