  • After a punt, CNU went seven plays in 41 yards, capped off by a 19-yard QB scramble from Matt Dzierski. The Red Hawks forced a turnover on downs early in the second quarter and used 56 yards from ABELLANY MENDEZ on the ground to get into the red zone. Yasir Geter intercepted MASON MURDOCK at the goal line, giving the ball back to CNU.
  • The Captains drove into the Montclair 20-yard line, but Burgess intercepted Dzierski at the 15-yard line. The linebacker took it all the way back for an 85-yard score leveling the game at seven.
  • After a scoreless third period, Christopher Newport took over eight minutes off the clock, going 11 plays in 72 yards. The possession was finished off with a one-yard touchdown plunge from Dzierski.
