Volleyball: Gameday Preview vs. NJCU

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State volleyball team hosts New Jersey City University in New Jersey Athletic Conference action Tuesday evening.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (7-8, 1-3 NJAC) swept Mount St. Mary and Brooklyn College in a tri-match Saturday. ELIZABETH KILLEEN led the Red Hawks with eight kills against Mount St. Mary as LEAH HIGGINS notched 10 kills against Brooklyn. EMMA HATCHER tallied a team-high 17 digs against Brooklyn, with Higgins and DELANEY ST. PIERRE recording 14 and 13, respectively.

SCOUTING NEW JERSEY CITY UNIVERSITY
The Gothic Knights are 10-6, including a 2-2 mark in the NJAC. They split a tri-match on Saturday, topping host Wilkes in straight sets before falling to Neumann in four. NJCU tallied NJAC victories over Rutgers-Newark and Rutgers-Camden earlier this season

Montclair State is 31-8 against NJCU and has won the last 13 games. The last NJCU win came on September 25, 2008, in a 3-0 match inside Panzer.

LAST MEETING
Montclair won 25-18, 25-15, 25-19 on the road last October 26. LEAH HIGGINS paced MSU with 12 kills, while DELANEY ST. PIERRE tallied 23 assists.
