Volleyball: Gameday Preview vs. Rutgers-Camden (NJAC Quarterfinals)

Montclair, NJ – The No. 5 seeded Montclair State volleyball team visits No. 4 seed Rutgers-Camden in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Quarterfinals Tuesday.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (16-12) topped Vassar in straight sets Wednesday night to close out the regular season. LEAH HIGGINS led the way with 13 kills, as CARLY WATERMAN tallied 10 kills and 14 digs. DELANEY ST. PIERRE filled the stat sheet with 34 assists, eight kills, six digs, and three blocks in the triumph.

SCOUTING RUTGERS-CAMDEN
The Scarlet Raptors are 14-14 on the season and finished 4-4 in the NJAC. They have won five of their last seven games to close out the regular season, including a three-game sweep of John Jay on October 27.

SERIES HISTORY
Montclair State is 17-6 all-time against Rutgers-Camden but had their six-match winning streak against the Scarlet Raptors snapped earlier this season.

LAST MEETING
Montclair State fell 25-23, 23-25, 10-25, 25-22, and 22-20 on October 11. LEAH HIGGINS paced the Red Hawks with 14 kills as GIANNA ARIAS posted 12 kills and nine total blocks. Defensively, EMMA HATCHER
picked up a team-best 22 digs, with DELANEY ST. PIERRE handing out 44 assists.
