Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State men's basketball team hosts Centenary University in non-conference action Saturday.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (8-0, 4-0 NJAC) took down The College of New Jersey 83-70 Saturday afternoon. STEVEN BREEMAN had 21 points, including six three-pointers, as MIKE JACKSON chipped in 16. Montclair State possessed the ball well, turning the ball over only seven times, marking a season-low.

SCOUTING CENTENARY
The Cyclones are 5-3 on the season and recently had their four-game winning streak snapped by Widener Monday. The two sides have faced one common opponent, Ithaca, with Montclair tallying a win and Centenary falling.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Montclair is 11-0 against the Cyclones, including a 4-0 mark away from the Panzer Athletic Center. The Red Hawks have won by double-digits in eight of the 11 contests, winning by one point last season, three points in 2004, and five points in 1997.
 
LAST MEETING
The Red Hawks hung on to knock off Centenary 107-106 last winter. KEYON PRYCE tallied a team-best 28 points as IRVING CALLENDER IV poured in a double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds. Leading by 15 with 2:55 to go, the Red Hawks saw the lead shrink to three with 56 ticks left. Montclair would hit several free throws late before Centenary hit a pair of triples to establish the final margin.
 
UP NEXT
The Red Hawks will close out the 2022 portion of their slate at the Al Senavitis Memorial Tournament, hosted
by DeSales on December 29-30. They will face Alvernia University in the opening round at 7 pm on the 29th.
