Volleyball: Gameday Preview vs. Wilkes and Baruch

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State volleyball team opens its home slate with a tri-match against Wilkes and Baruch Saturday.
 
GAME INFO
The Red Hawks will face Wilkes at 11 am and Baruch at 3 pm. Live stats and video links are available on montclairathletics.com. Video can also be found on the Red Hawks Sports Network YouTube Channel.
 
LAST TIME OUT
On Saturday, Montclair State dropped the final two matches at the Battlefield Classic, hosted by Gettysburg College. They fell to Drew in four sets despite 13 kills and 15 digs from LEAH HIGGINS. In the finale, the team lost in straight sets to host Gettysburg, with KATIE RODMAN
collecting 11 digs.

SCOUTING WILKES
 
The Colonels enter the match with a 1-2-mark, topping Keystone 3-1 in their season-opener. They have dropped the last two, including a straight-set loss to Stevens in the MAC Freedom opener Wednesday evening.
 
SCOUTING BARUCH
The Bearcats are 1-3 on the season, notching their lone win of the season against The College at Old Westbury on Tuesday. They dropped their first three matches of the season at the Greyhound Premiere Invitational, losing to SUNY Cobleskill, Olivet, and Moravian.
 
LAST MEETING
Montclair State topped Wilkes in straight sets last fall on September 25, winning 25-15, 25-23, and 25-18. CARLY WATERMAN posted a double-double of 14 kills and 18 digs as KATELYN MONAGHAN tallied 17 digs. MSU and Baruch last met on September 28, 2019, with the Red Hawks winning 25-10, 25-17, and 25-21. Waterman recorded 11 kills as Megan O'Rourke handed out 29 assists in the win.
 
UP NEXT
The Red Hawks open New Jersey Athletic Conference action on Tuesday as they head to Kean University for a 7 pm matchup against the Cougars.
