Volleyball: Gameday Preview vs. Randolph-Macon and Stevens

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State volleyball team takes on Randolph-Macon and Stevens during day two of the Castle Point Challenge Saturday.

GAME INFO
Montclair State will face Randolph-Macon at 4 pm and Stevens at 8 pm inside Canavan Arena in Hoboken, NJ. Live stats and video links will be available on montclairathletics.com.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks fell to Wentworth Institute of Technology in four sets Friday evening. LEAH HIGGINS led the way with 26 kills, and DELANEY ST. PIERRE notched a double-double of 22 assists and 18 digs.

SCOUTING RANDOLPH-MACON
The Yellow Jackets enter the weekend with a 5-1 mark. After dropping a straight decision to Mary Washington in the opener, they rebounded with five consecutive victories.

SCOUTING STEVENS
The Ducks are 7-2 on the year but have won six consecutive matches entering the weekend. After falling in straight sets to No. 9 Johns Hopkins and Marymount, Stevens has reeled off six successive victories. Last weekend they downed Middlebury and Clarkson, two teams that qualified for the NCAA Tournament last season. 

SERIES HISTORY
Montclair State and Randolph-Macon have never, while Montclair is 6-11 all-time against Stevens. In 2019, the Red Hawks snapped a seven-game losing skid against the Ducks, winning in straight sets.

LAST MEETING
On October 23, 2021, Stevens notched a 3-0 victory over Montclair. DELANEY ST. PIERRE handed out 22 assists while KATELYN MONAGHAN led the way with nine digs.
 
UP NEXT
The Red Hawks will resume New Jersey Athletic Conference action on Tuesday as they head to Ramapo for a 7 pm matchup against the Roadrunners.
