Field Hockey: Gameday Preview vs. Lebanon Valley

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State field hockey team visits Lebanon Valley College on Saturday evening.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (3-4) notched their third consecutive victory as they topped RPI 3-0 Sunday. CARLIE VAN TASSEL scored 2:05 into the contest before CARLY AMERMAN tallied a pair of third-quarter goals for the Red Hawks. LAUREN PICKUL made three saves to earn her second shutout victory of the campaign.

SCOUTING LEBANON VALLEY
The Dutchmen are 3-5 on the year and fell to Gettysburg 4-1 in their last matchup Wednesday. In their MAC Commonwealth opener on September 17, LVC was topped by York (Pa.) 5-0.

SERIES HISTORY
Montclair is 2-1 all-time against Lebanon Valley. MSU notched a 3-0 victory in 2015 before recording a 4-0 shutout in 2016. Lebanon Valley picked up a 2-1 triumph last season at Sprague Field for their only win in the series.

LAST MEETING
The Dutchmen won 2-1 on October 9, 2021. Emily Kline opened the scoring in the 33rd minute before TORI SUTERA answered in the 37th. Rachel Wright scored the game-winning goal with 3:03 to go and gave LVC the victory.
