Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State football team visits Worcester Polytechnic Institute for a Saturday afternoon non-conference matchup.

The Red Hawks are led by Head Coach Rick Giancola, who enters his 40th season at the helm. He enters the 2022 campaign as the active winningest coach in Division III and is fourth among all NCAA coaches. He has led MSU to 11 NJAC titles and nine NCAA Division III Tournament appearances.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (2-1) tallied a 31-14 triumph over Salve Regina last Saturday. The Montclair State defense had a big game, notching six second-half interceptions, including a pair from KIMANI CARRINGTON. Carrington took one back 32 yards for a touchdown while Makaki Mickens tallied 90 yards.

SCOUTING WPI
The Engineers are 1-2 on the season, winning their season-opener against Worcester State 58-21. Since then, they dropped contests to Endicott and RPI, falling by a combined score of 61-0.
 
LAST MEETING
In their only previous meeting, Montclair tallied a 31-10 triumph over the Engineers on September 25, 2021, at Sprague Field. JA'QUILL BURCH threw two touchdowns while MAKAI MICKENS rushed for 120 yards and two scores on the day. The defense tallied three sacks and two interceptions, with BRENNAN RAY leading the way with 10 tackles.
