Men's Basketball: Game Day Preview vs. NJCU

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State men's basketball team hosts New Jersey City University in New Jersey Athletic Conference play Wednesday.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (13-3, 7-2 NJAC) closed out the first half of their NJAC slate by knocking off Kean 86-81 Saturday. Montclair State never trailed after a 2-2 deadlock 1:21 into the game and was led by a team-high 26 points from MIKE JACKSON. STEVEN BREEMAN narrowly missed a double-double, finishing with 16 points and nine boards.

SCOUTING NJCU
NJCU is 8-8 on the season but just 3-6 in the NJAC. They have dropped three of their last four games, with the lone victory coming against Rutgers-Camden on January 11.

LAST MEETING
Montclair downed NJCU 68-47 in the NJAC opener for both teams on November 22. STEVEN BREEMAN tallied a double-double of 11 points and 14 rebounds as KEYON PRYCE added 14 points.

SERIES HISTORY
The Red Hawks are 97-80 against NJCU and snapped a four-game losing skid to the Gothic Knights last February.
