Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State University men's basketball team opens New Jersey Athletic Conference play on Tuesday as they host New Jersey City University.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (2-1) were clipped 86-83 in double-overtime by Albertus Magnus on Thursday. KIERAN FLANAGAN recorded a double-double of 17 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists as MIKE JACKSON poured in a team-high 20 points.

SCOUTING NJCU
The Gothic Knights are 1-2 on the year, dropping their last two games after winning their opener. They topped Brooklyn 71-51 on November 11 before falling 70-44 to Stevens and 82-76 to Misericordia on Saturday.

SERIES HISTORY
Montclair is 99-80 against the Gothic Knights, including four consecutive wins. NJCU's last win came on January 15, 2022, and they haven't won in Montclair since February 27, 2021.

LAST MEETING
The Red Hawks took down NJCU 89-69 in the NJAC Quarterfinals on February 18, 2023. KEYON PRYCE poured in a career-high 31 points and went 11-of-12 from the free throw line, as MIKE JACKSON added 21. Montclair broke the game open with a 21-2 spurt in the second half to take control.
