Second Half Surge Leads Women's Basketball Past Lehman

Orlando Nets Career-High 16, Duffy Scores 18

Bronx, NY – The Montclair State University women's basketball team outscored Lehman College 45-24 in the second half en route to a 77-51 victory in the season-opener on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Red Hawks turned it on in the third quarter, holding Lehman to two points over the first 5:54. Hughes and MEGAN DUFFY banged home threes on back-to-back possessions before Orlando drilled one with 5:06 left.
  • ALEXIS STROLLO finished the third quarter with a layup and free throw as Montclair built a 19-point lead after three. A 10-0 Red Hawk run opened the fourth, and an OLIVIA VERO bucket with 2:09 pushed the lead to 30 points.
