Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State men's basketball team will take on DeSales on day two of the Al Senavitis Memorial Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (9-3, 4-2 NJAC) took down Muhlenberg 84-74 on Friday night behind a second-half scoring surge that featured 45 points. MIKE JACKSON scored a game-high 21 points to go along with 13 rebounds, marking his fifth double-double of the season. Montclair outscored the Muhlenberg bench 33-11 in a game that featured points from 10 different Red Hawks.

SCOUTING DESALES
The Bulldogs are 8-2 to kick off the 2023-24 campaign and have won their last five contests. They took down Hamilton College 72-62 in their previous contest on Friday evening. DeSales is led by the duo of Elijah Eberly and Caleb Gibbs, who both average double-figures in scoring. The Bulldogs out-rebound their opponents by 10 and shoot close to 50 percent from the field.

SERIES HISTORY
DeSales has won all three prior meetings against Montclair, including the most recent clash last season, a triple overtime thriller at the Al Senavitis Memorial Tournament.

LAST MEETING
DeSales defeated Montclair 96-94 in triple overtime on December 30, 2022, to end the Red Hawks' 10-game winning streak to open the 2022-23 campaign. Trailing by eight with 5:18 to go, Montclair climbed back to take the lead on a 10-0 run led by AMIR WILLIAMS and KEYON PRYCE. After the Bulldogs missed a potential game-winner at the buzzer, the two sides battled for three overtime periods. Pryce led the way with 29 points, with four other Red Hawks reaching double-figures.
