Montclair, NJ – On Saturday, the No. 3 Montclair State men's basketball team hosts No. 6 New Jersey City in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Quarterfinals.

Per the New Jersey Athletic Conference, ticket prices for all postseason events are $5 for adults and $2 for students (with ID)/senior citizens/children. PLEASE NOTE: SEASON TICKETS WILL NOT BE HONORED FOR POSTSEASON EVENTS!
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (21-4, 15-3 NJAC) clipped Rowan University 104-100 in overtime Wednesday evening. MIKE JACKSON recorded his first career double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds in the win. With Rowan leading by two with five seconds to go, KEYON PRYCE drove the length of the floor and dropped in a layup to force overtime. KIERAN FLANAGAN hit four free throws in the final 61 seconds, with AMARI MILLS hitting one to seal the win.

SCOUTING NJCU
The Gothic Knights enter with a 12-13 record and finished with a 7-11 mark in the NJAC. They handed Rowan their first NJAC loss of the year on February 8 as Jason Battle drained a three-pointer at the buzzer before knocking off Rutgers-Camden Wednesday night.

LAST MEETING
The Red Hawks topped NJCU 79-74 on January 18. After being deadlocked at 32 at halftime, the Gothic Knights took a 58-54 lead on a Keshon Smith layup. STEVEN BREEMAN kick-started a 10-0 run with a layup and free throw as Montclair never gave the lead back.

POSTSEASON HISTORY
The Red Hawks are making their 23rd appearance in the NJAC Tournament, posting a 16-18 record. Montclair State and NJCU have met four times prior in the NJAC Tournament, with NJCU notching wins in three of the four affairs. The lone Red Hawk victory came in 1982 as they knocked off then-Jersey City State 64-60.
