SCOUTING NYU
The Violets, who entered the season ranked No. 4 in the AVCA Top-25 Poll, fell in their first match of the season to Ithaca Friday. They rebounded Saturday, winning in straight sets against Millikin and Kean.
SERIES HISTORY
Montclair is 2-18 against NYU, including losses in the last three contests. The Red Hawks' last win came on October 18, 2018, when they knocked off the Violets in five sets.
LAST MEETING
Montclair fell 3-1 to NYU on October 25, 2022. Montclair battled back after dropping the first two frames to claim the third 25-16. They could not complete the comeback, dropping the fourth stanza 25-21.
