LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks, who lost to the Coast Guard 161-128 on Saturday, tallied second in the opening race of the day, the 200-medley relay.
DENNIS DELARGY,
SPENSER DUBOIS,
ADRIAN GONZALEZ, and
MICHAEL WOJCIECHOWICZ notched a time of 1:38.44.
RYAN KAPPES registered a second-place time of 10:09.62 before Dubois claimed a victory in the 100-breaststroke (59.15).
JOHN ENGLERT (2:20.75) and
JARED GAYNOR (2:07.15) went 2-3 in the 200-fly before Kappes notched a victory in the 200-back (2:00.03). DeLargy was right behind him, placing second in 2:01.44. Dubois (2:10.7) and
BRANDON DO (2:12.75) placed second and third in the 200-breaststroke before Dubois (2:01.7) edged Do (2:04.28) for first in the 200-IM.
SERGIO RESTREPO won both sections of diving, tallying 176.75 points in the opening section before closing out with 187.42. The Red Hawks finished the day with the top two spots in the 200-free relay, as DeLargy, Gonzalez,
ANTHONY FERRARO, and
MATT DETTLINGER were first in 1:33.41 as
LUCAS MIGLIN, Kappes, Gaynor, and Englert were second in 1:36.64.
SERIES HISTORY
Montclair is 1-33 against the Lions. Their lone victory came in 1991 as they knocked off TCNJ 120-111.
LAST MEETING
The Red Hawks fell 182-118 to TCNJ on January 21, 2023.
SPENSER DUBOIS set a new Panzer Pool record of 57.63 in the 100-yard break.
RYAN KAPPES got the Red Hawks a victory in the 1,000-freestyle, winning by over eight seconds in 10:09.02. Dubois triumphed in the 100-breast, finishing in 57.63, nearly three seconds better than second place to set the new pool mark.
TYLER DORSETT edged Gavin Formon of TCNJ in the 200-butterfly by .30 seconds, winning in 1:58.97.
DANIEL BARTSEVICH helped Montclair get third-place points in the 100-free, clocking in at 50.86. Dubois swept the breaststroke events, winning the 200 in 2:09.61.
BRANDON DO was behind him in second, finishing in 2:14.62.
LUCAS MIGLIN was clipped by .39 in the 500 free, settling for second in 4:56.18.
JOHN ENGLERT and Dorsett went 2-3 in the 100-fly, with Englert finishing in 54.8 and Dorsett in 55.23. Do capped off the strong performances in the 200-IM, placing second in 2:03.37.
