Poughkeepsie, NY – The Montclair State University men's swimming and diving team earned its fourth consecutive victory to open the 2024 campaign as it took down Vassar, 181-104, on Friday night.
The 4-0 start marks the best in program history for Montclair.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Red Hawks saw four individuals take home multiple wins on the night, led by VINCENT TERZO, who notched victories in the 500 free (4:54.33) and the 1000 free (10:02.74). He claimed the 1000 free by 42 seconds, with the meet marking his fourth-straight with multiple individual wins.
- BRANDON DO touched the wall first in both the 100 breast (1:00.99) and 200 breast (2:13.59) to collect his first multi-first place meet of the campaign. For the third time this season, LUCAS GOMES claimed the 50 free with a time of 22.02. He also notched a first place time of 52.95 in the 100 butterfly.
- BOBBY FREECE scored a 116.05 and 163.30 in the 1M dive, which placed first in each event. The junior also tallied a victory in the 100 free with a time of 48.66. LUCAS MIGLIN recorded a win in the 50 free, as he clocked a time of 22.02. The 200 yard medley relay team of Dennis Delargy, Do, PETER JARZAB, and Gomes took first with a mark of 1:38.60.
