Glassboro, NJ- The Montclair State Swimming and Diving Team was handed their first meet loss of the season at the hands of Rowan, 160-102 on Friday night
HOW IT HAPPENED
- LUCAS GOMES headlined the day for the Red Hawks as the only swimmer to collect individual wins when he notched two on the night. He touched the wall first in the 100 free with a time of 48.09 and in the 100 fly with a time of 52.38. He also earned a second-place in the 50 when he clocked a 21.50
- MICHAEL SALVATORI notched 12 points with three second-place finishes during the meet. He placed silver in the 200 free (1:46.29), the 200 back (1:56.25) and 200 IM (1:59.31).
- VINCENT TERZO and RYAN KAPPES flipped event placements in their distance free events. In the 1000 free, Terzo timed 10:10.15 for second place while Kappes placed third with a time of 10:13.85. In the 500 free, Kappes finished second with a time of 4:58.97 while Terzo notched third with a time of 5:06.86
- DENNIS DELARGY also collected a second-place finish in the 100 back when he clocked a 55.28.
- Montclair also saw relays place second in the meet in both events. The 200 medley relay of DeLargy, BRANDON DO, PETER JARZAB and Gomes clocked a 1:37.25 while the 200 free relay team of BOBBY FREECE, MICHAEL WOJCIECHOWICZ, NICHOLAS KIPP and ANTHONY FERRARO clock a 1:28.47.
