Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State University men's basketball team hosts Rowan on Senior Night on Wednesday night, marking the regular season finale for both teams.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (16-8, 11-6 NJAC) was outlasted by Kean 84-73 on Saturday afternoon in a contest that featured 18 lead changes and four ties. The two sides were within one point of each other for the opening four minutes of the second half, with neither team being able to build a multi-possession lead until the 8:42 mark of the game when Kean went up by four. Montclair was able to get within one with 96 seconds remaining, but the Cougars outscored the Red Hawks 13-3 the rest of the way. KYREE HENRY led Montclair with 16 points on 4-5 shooting from beyond the arc.

SCOUTING ROWAN
The Profs enter Saturday's contest with a 19-5 mark, including an NJAC-leading 13-4 record in conference play. They hold a one-game advantage over Stockton with one contest remaining for both sides for the NJAC Men's Basketball Regular Season Title. Rowan has won seven-straight games and 13 of their last 14 dating back to December 13, 2023. They narrowly defeated Rutgers-Newark 69-67 in their last contest on Saturday, February 10, on a layup from Booty Butler with two seconds remaining. 

SERIES HISTORY
Rowan leads the all-time series 77-58 against Montclair. Rowan has claimed four of the last seven meetings, with each team winning on the road during the 2022-23 season. The two sides have combined for 814 points over their last four meetings, averaging 203 combined points per contest. Three of those four have gone to overtime.

LAST MEETING
Montclair was edged by Rowan 98-88 in overtime on Wednesday, January 10. After the Profs tied the contest with just under 13 minutes remaining, the Red Hawks came back with three-point shots on the next two possessions. Montclair took an 84-79 lead with 3:14 on the clock, but Rowan was able to tie the game with 48 seconds remaining on a pair of free throws to force overtime. The Profs used a 10-4 scoring run over the final three and a half minutes of overtime to seal the game. SAMAR ABDULLAH led the Red Hawks with 17 points, with Montclair receiving 56 points from its bench.
