Montclair, NJ - The Montclair State University women's basketball team was outlasted by Ramapo, 72-53 on Wednesday night.

How it Happened 

• The Red Hawks fell behind 9-0 in the first four minutes of the game. A free throw by ALEXIS STROLLO put the Roadrunners run to an end. 
• The Red Hawks only scored seven more points in the quarter ending the first ten minutes down 20-8. ISABELLA ORLANDO sunk a three and back to back free throws late in the second quarter to bring the Red Hawks within ten. 
• AMANDA CASTRO heated up after halftime tallying six points in three minutes, and ALEXIS STROLLO sunk a deep three seconds before the buzzer sounded putting the Red Hawks within eight. 
• It was back and forth for the last ten minutes. The Red Hawks came within six one minute into the fourth quarter, but it was not enough as the Roadrunners scored 24 more points to close out the game.

Inside the Box Score 

• Castro matched her career high with 13 points, shooting 50% yet again. 
• Montclair shot 94.1% from the free throw line with Orlando and BRIANNA MONTAJES both shooting perfectly from the line. 
• OLIVIA VERO had a tally in every column as she recorded two blocks, two rebounds, two points, and one steal.
