Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State University softball team opens their 2024 slate on Sunday as they head to Florida for 10 games.

PRESEASON POLL
Montclair was named the "Dark Horse" and selected seventh in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. Rowan University was picked first with nine first-place votes, and The College of New Jersey was second with the final first-place vote. Ramapo College slid into the third spot, with Stockton University gaining spot number four. Kean University was pegged fifth, as William Paterson went sixth. Behind the Red Hawks and rounding out the poll were Rutgers-Camden, Rutgers-Newark, and New Jersey City University.
 
2023 SEASON REWIND
Montclair State started the year hot, winning five of six games in Myrtle Beach, and saw ALYSSA BOROZAN eclipse the 100-hit plateau in the process. They notched victories in seven of eight games after returning to the Garden State and notched a thrilling 7-6 extra-inning, walk-off win over John Jay. The Red Hawks closed out the year strong, picking up triumphs in three of the last four contests, including a 2-1 extra-inning win over Stockton in the season finale.
